NBI | Deep Energy Retrofits - Part 3 (APS-AIA-EiQ-210)

Description
[CEU: 1.0 AIA LU/HSW] This course was created by the New Buildings Institute in collaboration with National Grid, a utility that services a large portion of the Northeast U.S.

(added 3/8/18)

Course Description:
A Deep Energy Retrofit is a retrofit project that achieves at least 30% energy savings in a building. Success with this kind of project requires more than “widgetbased” retrofits with a focus on one-item upgrades to buildings. This third course of a three-part series will focus on Technologies and Strategies in Deep Energy
Retrofits. The webinar will address how to assess the suitability of a deep energy retrofit project for zero net energy (ZNE), what it takes to take a deep energy retrofit to zero net energy, and the role of operations in achieving that goal.

Learning Objectives:
1: Understand the relationship between deep energy retrofits and zero net energy
2: Understand how to identify good and bad candidates for zero net energy retrofits
3: Understand how to integrate retrofits to maximize savings
4: Understand the role of operations in ZNE and how to support ZNE operations
